I thought I would throw myself into the deep end here and enter an online challenge, even though I only started making cards last month. I was just looking through google and found a page of card making challenges so I thought I would have a look through. I definitely needed something to help me start a new project as I only seem to be able to make something if it has a purpose eg. someone's birthday etc. I seem to be lacking in spontaneous creativity at the moment.
The challenge is called the 'Tic Tac Toe Challenge' and to take part I needed to choose three elements in a row from the following grid.

I decided to choose the left hand side column for my card, so 'Hugs', 'Pink', and 'Diamond'.
I created the following card.
I used pearlescent diamond patterned card stock for the background and layered it with pink paper to create a border. I then used my alphabet stamp set to stamp the word 'HUGS' using purple Versafine ink. For the first time ever...I tried heat embossing. It gave the letters such a nice shine and my house is still standing after being left in control of a heat gun...so a double win I think.
On white card stock I stamped my little hugging bears, fussy cut them and then coloured them using alcohol markers. I attached them to the card on top of two pink diamonds using foam squares.
It was such a fun little make and I look forward to trying some more challenges.
